High Level of UFO Sightings Over the UK

The British newspaper, Telegraph, reports on bizarre levels of UFO sightings in the uk.



"Plotted on a map of Britain, the sightings can be seen to stretch from Liverpool to Dover and from Llanelli to Derby.

The founder member of Strange Phenomena Investigations, added: "There has been an unusual number of sightings recently.

"Some experts believe it could be linked to global warming and craft from outer space are appearing because they are concerned about what man is doing to this planet."

Among mysterious flying objects spotted in recent months was a 'glowing' disc spotted above the M5 motorway.

Royal Navy aircraft engineer Michael Madden said he watched the UFO for three minutes before it 'zoomed off' near Weston-super-Mare in Somerset.

Earlier, in Basingstoke, witnesses claimed to have seen a fleet of 12 orange objects in the night sky for half an hour.

And in St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan a police helicopter crew gave chase to another UFO after it appeared to veer at speed towards their aircraft."

Policeman Sights Saucer in 1978

British policeman talks about a UFO sighting back in 1978, which triggered him to take the subject seriously and start his own research. (5:10)

"I saw a UFO" - John Lennon

"On 23 August 1974, I saw a UFO J.L."

The intriguing sentence above can be found on the bottom right of the back cover of John Lennon's album "Walls And Bridges" released in 1974.

The July 1996 issue of the British UFO magazine "Alien Encounters" (issue 9, p. 53) tells May Pang's story in quotes, about a sighting she and Lennon had in the seventies. Here's an extract:

"We had just ordered up some pizzas and since it was such a warm evening, we decided to step out on the terrace," recalled Pang. "There were no windows directly facing us from across the street, so John just stepped outside with nothing on, in order to catch a cool breeze that was coming in right off the East River. I remember I was just inside the bedroom getting dressed when John started shouting for me to come
out on the terrace.

I yelled back that I would be right there but he kept screaming for me to join him in that instant. As I walked out onto the terrace, my eye caught this large, circular object coming towards us. It was shaped like a flattened cone and on top was a large, brilliant red light, not pulsating as on any of the aircraft we'd see heading for a landing at Newark Airport.

When it came a little closer, we could make out a row or circle of white lights that ran around the entire rim of the craft - these were also flashing on and off. There were so many of these lights that it was dazzling to the mind.

It was, I estimate, about the size of a Lear jet and it was so close that if we had something to throw at it, we probably would have hit it quite easily."

"We often had helicopters flying above us but this was as silent as the night and about seventeen storeys above street level."

The object flew off but returned later, by which time she and Lennon had set up a telescope through which they could view it in more detail.

"The light was so brilliant coming from the craft that no additional details could be seen. We did take a couple of pictures but they turned out overexposed."

They also rang a local newspaper to report the sighting and were told at least seven other people had seen the UFO too.

"We even called the police, that's how excited we were, and they told us to keep calm, that others had seen it too."

During what was left of the evening, John kept saying, "I can't believe it... I can't believe it... I've seen a flying saucer!"

Norwich Sighting

Five or six round orange objects were spotted Saturday, June 23rd over Norwich, UK.

For the Norfolk UFO Society, this wasn't a particularly strange occurrence. They had half a dozen reports last autumn, including one of a black triangular craft (sound familiar?).

Guernsey UFO on Channel 4

Richard and Judy from Channel 4 interviewed Captain Ray Bowyer, the pilot who saw a very large UFO over Guernsey, UK on the 25th of April 2007.

This interview was broadcast live on the 25th of June 2007.

Red Orbs over Moscow

A sighting that lasted several minutes took place over Moscow, Russia during the night of 11th of June 2007. A cloud of over twenty red soft glowing objects was spotted drifting high above the ground.

Some say they're some sort of small air balloons with candles inside. I honestly find it hard to tell.

Massive UFO Over Guernsey

Today, Sky news aired a report of what they're calling the 'largest UFOs ever seen'. Crew and passengers of a Channel Islands saw two cigar-shaped UFOs near Guernsey which appeared to be hovering at around 2,000 ft. Remember, this is the second major sighting in this area in under 2 months, with the last one being April 25th.

This is a HUGE story. Sky has gone so far as to say 'Humans, it seems, are not alone'. Of course, they balanced this with a disappointingly sensationalised image of these green creatures. Mexican Air Force UFO footage

In 2004 Mexico became the first country to release official footage of UFOs taken by its armed forces. This 6:36 long clip has the Fox News report as well as a short CNN report at the very end.

The details about this video are scarce. All that we know is that it filmed on June 2007 in Belarus.
