Chinese Lanterns?

We all know the BBC's been going downhill for a while but this month's report on strange lights seen over Bangor, North Wales is truly laughable.

Reports came in from dozens of people in County Down, N. Ireland, about a series of lights in the sky over North Wales on May 14th. While the coast guard and air traffic control don't have any idea what caused the lights, BBC gives its enlightening explanation in their news report:
